This module introduces the COBOL verbs needed for decision structures and looping. The use of control break logic in a COBOL program is also covered.

COBOL Module I or equivalent skills

Unit 2 - Control break processing, writing a program that uses control break processing

Unit 3 - The OR and AND logical operators, signed numbers, the sign test

Unit 4 - Writing a sales performance program that uses control break processing and sign tests

Unit 5 - Qualification of data names, condition names, class tests, the JUSTIFIED RIGHT clause, the WRITE...FROM instruction

Unit 6 - Writing a program that uses the JUSTIFIED RIGHT clause, condition names, qualification of data names, and control break processing

Unit 7 - Review

Test - Comprehensive final exam
