This course extends the skills covered in Intermediate WordPerfect. You will be shown how to import data from other applications, how to use styles, and how to automatically generate items such as a table of contents or an index.

Intermediate WordPerfect or equivalent skills

This course contains 9 lessons and 1 test.

Unit 1 - The Outline feature, creating an outline, inserting items in an existing outline, deleting text from an outline, working with outline families, customizing outline appearance

Unit 2 - Importing spreadsheets as text and as tables, using Setup to specify the location of spreadsheet files, importing a portion of a spreadsheet

Unit 3 - Linking a spreadsheet to a WordPerfect document, updating the link, hiding the link codes, importing a spreadsheet into an existing table

Unit 4 - Adding footnotes to a document, editing existing footnotes, customizing the display of footnotes, adding endnotes to a document, overriding the default placement of endnotes

Unit 5 - Creating paired and open styles, applying styles to existing text, editing existing styles, creating a style library

Unit 6 - Creating outline styles, using paired and open styles within an outline style, the three functions of the Enter key within an outline style, using an existing style to create an outline, applying a style to an existing outline

Unit 7 - Setting the envelope paper size/type, editing paper definitions for envelopes, setting margins for envelopes, using the Advance feature to position addresses, using Merge to prepare envelopes

Unit 8 - Marking text for inclusion in a table of contents, defining a table of contents, generating a table of contents

Unit 9 - Marking text for inclusion in an index, defining an index, creating an index from a concordance, generating an index
